From the Editor's Desk

Dear Readers,

On behalf of the Management, the Editorial Board, and the Editorial Team of Indian Journal of Marketing, Indian Journal of Finance, Prabandhan: Indian Journal of Management, and Arthshastra: Indian Journal of Economics & Research, I would like to wish all authors, patrons, and readers of our journals a very happy, harmonious, and prosperous New Year 2014.

 2013 was another good year for Indian Journal of Marketing, Indian Journal of Finance, Prabandhan: Indian Journal of Management, and Arthshastra: Indian Journal of Economics & Research. The number of new submissions increased, and our national and international subscriber and readership base grew significantly in the last year. With 2014, Arthshastra: Indian Journal of Economics & Research enters its third year of publication, and has entrenched itself as a leading journal of Economics in India. In 2013, Indian Journal of Marketing and Indian Journal of Finance were accepted for inclusion in Elsevier's Scopus after undergoing a rigorous evaluation procedure. The Index Copernicus Value, which is based on a 10-point scale, assigned a value of 6.47 to Indian Journal of Marketing, 6.45 to Indian Journal of Finance, and 6.30 to Prabandhan : Indian Journal of Management using the parameters described in the Index Copernicus Evaluation Methodology, 2012. There has been a substantial increase in the IC Value of our titles for 2012 (the IC Value 2011 was 5.09 for each of our three titles). We were also awarded the NAAS Rating by National Academy of Agicultural Sciences (a Govt. of India institution), with the NAAS Rating of Indian Journal of Marketing, Indian Journal of Finance, and Prabandhan : Indian Journal of Manangement being 4.3,3.4, and 4.2 respectively (each on a scale of 10). These indexings and ratings show the recognition of the quality maintained by our titles on a global level.

Our Journals have continued to expand in terms of publishing high quality double blind peer-reviewed papers and have attracted a larger global audience of authors, academicians, research investigators, and scholars, as indicated by the increasing number of submissions and the diversity of authors who have published with us. In 2013, we published 70 papers in Indian Journal of Marketing, 55 papers in Indian Journal of Finance, 57 papers in Prabandhan: Indian Journal of Management, and 27 papers in Arthshastra : Indian Journal of Economics & Research written by authors whose primary affiliations included different institutions from India and abroad.

Our consistent efforts are aimed towards increasing the visibility, impact, editorial cycle time, and the overall quality of our journals. We very much look forward to strengthening the reputation of our publications, and we want to attract more and higher- quality submissions. We look forward to a productive and successful 2014, and it is our hope that our esteemed readers, patrons, and authors will continue to support us by reading, discussing, recommending, citing our Journals and submitting high-quality manuscripts with innovative ideas.
